If only 4 volts is getting to the pump it probably won't work, but there are two different relays that supply this voltage at different times, one when driver's door is first opened, the other when engine ECU tells it to. Seems unlikely both have a problem. Please check the two fuses I've mentioned. Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007) 1.2 compression problem. I have a 2007 Fabia combi, Mark 1. Engine is 1.2 petrol. It is running rough and going into safe mode constantly. Mechanic tested compression and it is 8,12,10 respectively for the 3 cylinders. Mechanic tells me I need to have top off engine, and replace valves. I've had a 12 valve 1.2 htp (70 bhp) for about 3 years now and covered roughly 50,000+ in that time. The engine is lovely and will handle everyday motoring comfortably as long as you don't overload the car, but you will need to use the gearbox as the power comes in at a low 3000 revs. To change the spark plugs in your Skoda Fabia, open the hood and locate the spark plug wires or ignition coil packs. Remove the wire or coil pack connected to the spark plug you want to replace. Use a spark plug socket and ratchet to unscrew the old spark plug and carefully remove it. Insert the new spark plug, ensuring it is properly tightened.

Posted 18 July, 2013. Generally, injectors tend to work or not. Sometimes the solenoid becomes sticky and it can fire intermittently but that's not the norm. The impedance of the injector can also change with use, or even come wrong from the factory which can make it perform incorrectly and make the engine noisey.

Check the fluids when you get the car as they are at hand over. Check what the tyre pressures are at and that gives an idea if the tech / fitter that did the PDI bothered to reset from the delivery pressure. Reset the TPMS. 1.0 MPI's have done OK in the CitigoUp!Mii's be that Euro 5 or 6's.
Okay so we have a problem! Original compression test (done on a warm but probably not full temp engine) was on 21st August, so 4 weeks ago, and result was 11 / 9.5 / 9.5 Today we have: Cold Engine: 11 / 9 / 7.75 Cold Engine + Oil: 12.5 / 10.5 / 9 - All roughly + 1.5 but cold engine presumably tolerances are greater Hot Engine: 11.5 / 9.5 / 8.25

The engine does not have a turbo so there is no turbo lag, and no turbo to fail, also it does not have the PD (high pressure injector) technology so parts are cheaper. Insurance is a bit less than the turbo models. Not the fastest car ever, it can't go up hills in 5th but it is good on the motorway.

The Fabia has been subject to two recalls: the first was to fix a problem relating to the curtain airbags which, due to a wiring issue, caused the airbag on the wrong side of the car to inflate F9hRI.
