I dunno about Tom Hardy as Robert. You do get the muscle, but Robert is huge in general. Hardy is like a good 9 inches shorter than Robert is described. Mark Addy is only a couple inches taller than Hardy, but he players an older and more decrepit Robert. Maybe Hardy just wouldn't seem large enough for Robert in all his glory.
