Hi New on here and asking for help please, Mondeo MK4 2014 TDCI Titanium X AUTO Only had the car a couple of months and cruise has always worked with no problems, Went to switch cruise on recently and nothing, no cruise light on dash, it seems dead Speed limiter is working ok
Well, the car is coming up to 5 years in September and ive only had it 4 months and although the warranty that came with the car didnt extend to aircon leaks, I basicly put it to the garage that regardless of if it broke before they sold it to me it is something that should have been checked by them and working before they sold the car. 316. Having done a little research it looks like a bulb is used for the LCD backlights in this model, so given your description of the display not being "lit up", I presume that theAFS module does control cornering lamps. You could try disconnecting the battery to see if it "resets" it. If there is, or was any kind of short in the bulb or wiring it will probably just switch off, rather than blow a fuse. The fault codes pointed to a faulty fuel injector and they wanted to change all four. Got them to agree to just change out the one for now (I know not recommended) but funds not available at the moment.
