Your weather widget option is more than most likely not responsible for the fast drain. Otherwise, the millions of Fenix watches worldwide would all be experiencing a fast drain when the Fenix watch is not connected to a tablet or smartphone. There are a couple of things you can try that may bring your watch battery back around to normal behavior.
The power settings outside of the power modes are a little scattered so it can be hard to remember what you might have changed. If it's draining super fast under battery saver contact Garmin. It's possible you just got a bad battery. With regular usage you should be getting at least 5-6 days out of it without trouble.
There is a battery graph plug-in you can get from the Garmin store that’ll let you measure it. I have a 965 and consistently get 5% drain per day, with 3-days a week exercise activities (no GPS). That calculates to 20 days battery time, which is pretty much as advertised.
Mira over 2 years ago. Battery drain is horrendous after the 13. 10 update! The battery drained 20% in 1 hour with no activities being recorded. I tried reset to factory settings. See how that goes. Very poor update. Garmin Fenix S Pro here.
After two years of working perfectly fine version 11.6 update has caused issues, battery drains 25% overnight and now my watch won't connect to my phone. I have tried every possible solution stated - restart, unpair, delete device, factory reset and even trying on a new and different phone. 3811409 over 3 years ago. Hello folks, With the upgrade to 13.22 my Fenix 7 Solar (Garmin Connect iOS) consumes 12% battery per day, after cold start. With 11.28 the watch needed 6-8% per day without sun and activities.
My numbers below are for the Fenix 6 Sapphire. No music, BT connection on, no weather data fields (these drain a lot of battery), but with HR and analog seconds hands (which people often worry excessively drain more battery): Watch face mode. Ie outside of activities. The stock faces are pretty energy efficient I’ve found. 0.2-0.3% per hour. bExyaH.
