PS5 Pro vs Slim the Price. The PS5 started from a base of $499/£449. The PS4 started at around $399 but later dropped to around $300 while the PS4 Slim cost exactly $300 as well. The Pro cost $400 during launch. As things are the PS5 price ain’t going down. The chip shortage is affecting the market and the prices of PS5 are not down at all.
PlayStation likewise sells a less expensive Digital Edition for $399.99, and is expected to release a PlayStation 5 Slim later this year at the same reduced price point.

2nd the ps3 slim did not get rid of "all the features". It still played ps3 games right? still had full functionality including that blu ray player, only thing removed was BC features, it also had at least double the storage, better temps, and better power draw all for $200 less, thanks to cut down production costs.
